A glimpse into “They Love Mimmie”.

A glimpse into “They Love Mimmie”.

Songstress and vocal coach Mimmie Tarukwana stirred up the music industry last year with her banging, emPawa sponsored single, “Selfish”. This month she is selflessly gracing us with a touch of love, her new project, a debut EP titled They Love Mimmie. The EP is dropping this week on the 26th of February. We can only anticipate pieces of her amazing and beautiful personality from it. I was lucky enough to steal a few moments of her time to talk about the upcoming EP. Mimmie is nothing short of amazing.

They Love Mimmie is an Intro to who Mimmie is and what she’s about.

What challenges did you face while working on this project?

Well, I faced a lot of challenges… I had problems with one of the songs stemming from the recording process to the mixing and mastering process. It was hard, but it turned out to be one of my favourites in the EP.

What kept you going?

Honestly, the team that helped me with this project, family and God. They contributed a lot to my resilience. I give up almost every other day, to be honest, but having a great support system keeps me going.

Who is behind the scenes, the team that is? ( photographers, stylist, makeup artist, producers and social managers)

Okay, so my photographer is Gideon Visuals. I trust him with all my photographs.
Stylist, well… I don’t really have one set stylist. I style myself mostly from things I’d find from the “bendovaa” but mainly dressed by local designers like Leverage and Leico designs. As for Producers, I worked with Shamex from Harare, Stot productions from Bulawayo, Larynx from Bulawayo and Da kudu from Bulawayo. Graphics for my social marketing have been done by Stot media designs. Social managers…my friends and I have been working, lol. My makeup artist for this shoot for my cover art, I used makeup by Patiey.

Anyone that wants to feel.
